SAN JOSE -- A man killed in a solo vehicle crash Wednesday on Camden Avenue has been identified as a 26-year-old San Jose man.

Timothy Gardner was thrown from the driver's seat after his car collided with a tree on the 6400 block of Camden Avenue just after 9 p.m., according to the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office.

Speed has been determined to be a factor in the crash that killed Gardner, police said, but they still do not know if alcohol or drugs were also a factor in the deadly collision.

No other passengers or vehicles were involved, police added.
