Neighbor saves boy, 4, after he nearly drowns
A family is breathing a sigh of relief after an alert neighbor resuscitated a 4-year-old boy who was found floating in an apartment complex pool Monday afternoon.
According to police, the neighbor spotted the boy face down and motionless in the pool at the Villa Camino Apartments complex, located at 150 Locksunart Way, around 4 p.m. The unidentified neighbor dove in, pulled the boy out and began to perform CPR while paramedics and fire crews were in route.
Police said the boy, who has also not been identified, began to breathe on his own as crews arrived, and he was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He has since been released.
There is a safety gate around the apartment complex pool, but police said it is still a mystery as to how the boy got into the water.
