Alameda police arrested five people after they were caught allegedly traveling in a stolen vehicle early in the morning of June 12.

The arrests occurred about 12:40 a.m. in the 1100 block of Mound Street, where a records check showed the vehicle was stolen in Tracy, police said.

One person in the group, a 29-year-old woman, was also in possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant and two misdemeanor warrants. The others arrested were two women, ages 25 and 27, and two men, ages 22 and 23.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- Officers found suspected ecstasy when they carried out a probation search about 9:30 a.m. at a woman's residence on Central Avenue, police said. The woman was not home. Illegal drugs were also allegedly found during another probation search about an hour later on Deering Court, where police arrested a 32-year-old man.

  • BURGLARY -- Someone removed a window screen and tried to break into a residence in the 300 block of Bryant Avenue but was interrupted by the homeowner, police said. It was reported at 4 p.m.

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Police recovered a stolen vehicle just before 6 p.m. in the 1300 block of Regent Street.

    THURSDAY, JUNE 12

  • PETTY THEFT -- A woman told police that someone stole a credit card from her purse while she was in the 700 block of Central Avenue. She made the report about 11:20 a.m.

  • IDENTITY THEFT -- Identity theft was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Bismark Lane, where someone used the victim's personal information to withdraw money from the victim's checking account. Identity theft was also reported about 3:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Oak Park Drive.

  • OUTSTANDING WARRANT -- A man wanted on an outstanding felony warrant led Alameda police officers on a pursuit through Alameda, Oakland, Emeryville and Berkeley before he was arrested as he tried to run away from the vehicle on foot. Along with the warrant, the 28-year-old man was booked on two counts of evading police, driving on a suspended license and driving a vehicle with false registration tabs. It happened about 8:10 p.m. after an officer initially tried to pull over the man in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

    FRIDAY, JUNE 13

  • BURGLARY -- Guns and ammunition were stolen during a burglary of a storage room in the 2500 block of Blanding Avenue. The theft was reported about 9:20 a.m.

  • EXTORTION -- Police received a report about 8:50 a.m. that an individual threatened to post a sexually explicit photo of a female on social media unless he paid her money. The case remains under investigation.

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Police recovered a stolen vehicle at 6:20 p.m. in the 2800 block of Marina Drive.

    SATURDAY, JUNE 14

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- A cyclist whom an officer detained about 12:25 a.m. for not having a headlight or rear reflector on his bicycle was wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant issued in Marin County, police said. The 38-year-old man, who was arrested in the 1300 block of Marina Village Parkway, was also allegedly in possession of cocaine. Another man, 27, was also faces a narcotics possession charge after an officer discovered him with Vicodin about 9:20 p.m. in the 3100 block of Mecartney Road, police said. Officers initially contacted the man because someone reported that he appeared too intoxicated to care for his own safety.

    SUNDAY, JUNE 15

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- A cyclist who an officer detained for running a red light was arrested after a background check revealed that he was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant, police said. The man, 52, who was arrested about 1:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of Park Street, was also allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, as well as suspected burglary tools.

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Police recovered a stolen vehicle about 9:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of Pacific Marina.
