OAKLAND -- Two people were shot and another stabbed in different parts of Oakland between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, police said.
All of the victims were expected to recover and the incidents are not related, police said.
About 1:40 a.m. Thursday, a 36-year-old woman was shot in the 3200 block of Filbert Street in West Oakland, possibly by another woman she knew, police said. The victim was in stable condition at a hospital with wounds to her shoulder and ear. The suspect fled on foot and no motive was released.
At 6:07 p.m. Wednesday, a 42-year-old woman was stabbed in the stomach in 1400 block of Jefferson Street near City Hall in downtown Oakland. The victim was in stable condition at a hospital and was uncooperative with police. No arrests have been made and no motive released.
At 3:41 p.m. Wednesday, a 20-year-old man was shot near the intersection of High Street and Allendale Avenue in East Oakland possibly in an attempted robbery, police said.
The man told police he was confronted by some other men, and when he started running away heard multiple gunshots. He then saw that he had been wounded in the arm and went to the home of a relative, who gave him a ride to a hospital where he was in stable condition. The suspects fled before police arrived.
