Harrison Ford is recovering after having surgery following an injury on the set of "Star Wars: Episode VII."

"Harrison Ford's left leg was broken in an accident," his rep said in a statement. "His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly."

The 71-year-old actor was injured last week after an accident at Pinewood Studios, where the latest installment of the "Star Wars" franchise is being shot. Ford is reprising his iconic role of Han Solo.

Initial reports said he injured his ankle. The Hollywood Reporter said Ford broke his leg when the door of the Millennium Falcon, his character's famous ship, fell on him.

Disney said in a statement that filming will continue while Ford recovers.
