SAN JOSE -- Police are investigating a report of a violent home-invasion robbery in which three men forced their way into an apartment on Camden Avenue and demanded money from the residents.

On Tuesday, police responded to an apartment complex in the 5200 block of Camden Avenue after receiving a 911 call regarding an attempted robbery. The victim told officers three men forced their way into the apartment and demanded money, according to San Jose police Sgt. Heather Randol. The victim said he was struck with a hammer and that a woman in the apartment was tased by the assailants.

The men fled without taking anything. None of them have been identified or arrested.

Both victims were taken to a hospital and treated for their injuries.
