SAN FRANCISCO -- Three East Bay residents have been arrested in a shooting that injured one woman on the last evening of San Francisco's Pride festival last weekend, police said.
Kawme Williams, 18, of Oakland, and Robert Smith, 20, of Hayward have been booked in a shooting that took place around 6:30 p.m. near 6th and Market streets as festivalgoers continued to celebrate in bars and clubs around the South of Market neighborhood. A 15-year-old from Antioch was also arrested in the incident.
One of the bullets struck a 22-year-old woman on the wrist. A taxi cab was also struck. The woman was treated at a hospital and released.
Police did not release any information about a possible motive.
Smith was held on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and other related charges. Williams has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Two firearms were recovered from the scene.
