SANTA CLARA -- An 81-year-old Santa Clara man died after being struck by an Amtrak Capitol Corridor passenger train Friday afternoon in Santa Clara County, according to the county coroner's office.

No one else was injured in the crash, which occurred about 4:30 p.m., authorities said.

A northbound train traveling from San Jose to Sacramento hit the man, identified as Kae Ho Kim, just south of the Santa Clara station, authorities said. None of the train's 19 passengers on board were injured.

The official cause of death has yet to be determined by the coroner's office.

The trains were back on schedule just before 7 p.m. Friday, officials said.
