SAN BRUNO -- A restaurant previously cited by the Alcoholic Beverage Control had its alcohol license suspended indefinitely Friday, according to the department.
Paper Moon, located at 448 San Mateo Avenue, had its license suspended after investigators learned the restaurant was a serious problem for San Bruno police officers, according to a news release.
Investigators discovered police responded to an unusually high number of calls at the business and that many of the calls were violent in nature and were a drain on police services, the department stated.
Although the restaurant's license has been revoked, it will be stayed for a one-year period to allow the owner to transfer license privileges to a new owner at a different location. The license will remain suspended until the transfer is complete or the one year period lapses.
The department did note the restaurant was previously cited by investigators in 2011 in an unrelated case.
