EAST OAKLAND -- A man stabbed Wednesday morning on an East Oakland street was expected to recover, police said.
Officers were dispatched at 8:38 a.m. to the 1600 block of 78th Avenue for a report of a stabbing, police said.
The man's stab wound was not life-threatening, and he was conscious and able to speak, police spokesman Frank L. Bonifacio said.
Emergency crews treated the man, whose identity was not released.
No suspect or motive were immediately known as of mid-Wednesday and no arrests had been made in connection to the case, Bonifacio said.
