Music fans and the world at-large were reminded Wednesday that Justin Bieber is a singer -- and not just a maturity-challenged rich kid who loves eggs and court appearances.

Bieber sent his fans into a tither Wednesday when he posted 15-second clips of 11 new tracks on Instagram, perhaps hinting that a new album is in the works. He added fuel to that speculation when he tweeted, "Great night in the studio."

Bieber has used social media before to promote his upcoming music. Last year, he released a song off his "Journals" album every Monday for 10 weeks.

It's a big change of pace for Bieber, who has spent the better part of this year dodging legal trouble. Most notably, he was ordered to pay $80,900 in restitution, serve five days community service, complete an anger management program and serve two years probation for egging the home of his Los Angeles neighbor.
