LOS ANGELES -- Stanford begins training camp Aug. 4 with not only an entrenched starting quarterback in Kevin Hogan but also an obvious backup.
Redshirt junior Evan Crower is the clear-cut second stringer, with redshirt freshman Ryan Burns running a distant third.
"Ryan is not close mentally to where Evan is right now,'' coach David Shaw said Thursday.
Burns looked shaky in the Spring Game (interception, fumbled snaps) after missing the first half of spring practice for disciplinary reasons.
Crower did not play in the scrimmage because of a broken nose.
"He's ready to plug-and-play,'' Shaw said of Crower. "He could step in and not miss a beat.''
Wright is expected to compete with Kelsey Young, Ricky Seale and Barry Sanders for the starting spot.
TWC systems in Los Angeles, the midwest and east coast will make all seven Pac-12 feeds available. Cox is doing the same across the country, she said
MacIntyre credited the book "Why Diets Are Failing Us" for helping change his dietary habits. He focused on nutrients, not total calories, and increased his exercise and water consumption.
