Who's wasting water? We want to know.

No, not about your rich neighbor washing his BMW in the driveway without a nozzle. (Unless it's Zuck or Gov. Jerry Brown -- or better yet, Larry Ellison hosing down his yacht.)

We're not looking to turn neighbor against neighbor, but we're out to find the really flagrant water violators, the big fish, and you can help. We're hunting for the government agency or large company wasting water as California's worst drought in decades worsens.

Tell us about the major unattended leaks, the toilets in public buildings that run and run and run. Let us know about the broken irrigation pipes that gush water into the street. And we'll also be looking out for public officials, celebrities and CEOs whose lawns are just too green.

Send an email to waterwasters@bayareanewsgroup.com and we will check out the worst ones for an upcoming story. On Twitter, use the hastag #waterwasters.

Include a photo, a location, time and day, and as much detail as you can, including the water district in which the waste is occurring. Brown, they say, is the new green. And being a water-wise citizen in the face of one of the Golden State's worst droughts is the new normal.

We'll let you know who isn't doing their part.
