Carrie Underwood will perform at halftime of the 2015 Super Bowl, according to sports gossip site TerezOwens.com.

OK ... I guess Van Halen broke up again.

A source reportedly told the site "a few inside sources revealed to us that Carrie Underwood most likely will be doing the Super Bowl halftime show this year."

So sources told a source who told a website most of us have never heard of that Carrie Underwood is performing at the Super Bowl?

Works for me.

Underwood took over last year, from Faith Hill, to perform the NBC Sunday Night Football theme song "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night." She also performed the national anthem at Super Bowl XLIV in 2010.

The NFL announced last month that Underwood will kick off the game with a pre-taped video featuring "high-end digital graphics, the Lombardi trophy replicated larger than life and the traditional Super Bowl Roman numerals taking various shapes across the screen."

That's a lot of Carrie Underwood for one day. Maybe Van Halen is still available ...

Super Bowl XLIX happens on Feb. 1.
