Two scripts for an Aquaman film are being developed by Warner Bros., according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jason Momoa may play the superhero, who is also rumored to make an appearance in the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film.

I hope he can swim.

No one is saying whether the two scripts, written by separate writers, are competing to be one film, or if they're already planing sequels. Which may be true, since making a decent superhero movie for a studio is pretty much like finding a gold nugget in your yard the size of a VW Bug.

I'm not sure where that came from either.

Anyway, an Aquaman film would likely come before Warner and DC unveil a "Justice League" film to rival Marvel's star-studded "The Avengers" franchise. Same for Wonder Woman, who is also appearing in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

That film's director, Zack Snyder, recently called a Detroit radio station, on which the DJs were making fun of Aquaman. The movie is being made in Detroit.

"Hey, it's Zack, yeah ... I'm on my way to the set right now and I was listening to you guys on the radio," he said, according to Starpulse.com. After pointing out they were "disparaging" the character, Snyder said, "I don't want to give anything away about the movie or anything like that, but you know, Aquaman has some cool abilities. People are like, 'Does he talk to animals?' Because that seems to be what he does, or fish or whatever, but the cool thing is, his trident, that can actually cut the flesh of Superman if -- you know, they came in contact, that's in the canon.

"It's not to say that he's in the movie or anything like that but ... he has the potential to be badass."

That's right. I've never met a DJ who could make an orca to eat Batman.
