Justin Bieber has a new foe -- and surprise, it's a paparazzo.

Photographer Aja Oxman is suing Bieber and his bodyguard Dwayne Patterson for beating him and destroying his camera, Billboard reported Wednesday.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles, seeks damages for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.

According to the lawsuit, Oxman said he photographed Bieber cliff jumping in Kauai last November, prompting Bieber to order Patterson to "go get his memory card and do whatever you have to do to get that card." That reportedly resulted in the bodyguard lifting Oxman in a choke hold and slamming him onto a car hood. While Bieber never physically touched Oxman, the lawsuit says he "enjoyed the beating," TMZ reports.

The lawsuit also alleges that Bieber participated in the destruction of the camera.

Patterson was arrested and convicted of charges related to this event, Billboard reports.

Bieber's reps have reportedly declined to comment.

In May, Patterson faced a similar lawsuit by photographer Michael Munoz, who said the bodyguard chased, kicked and punched him and forcibly tried to take the memory card after Munoz photographed Bieber leaving a Miami Beach nightclub.
