LOS GATOS -- The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office has identified the man who died early Monday morning in a suspected drunken driving collision just south of Los Gatos as Dakota Toy, 20, of Santa Clara.
Toy was a passenger in a white GMC Sonoma that went off the roadway and down an embankment, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The single-vehicle accident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. on Alma Bridge Road, off Highway 17 near Lexington Reservoir, according to CHP Officer Ross Lee.
The driver, 20-year-old Forest Lambert, also of Santa Clara, was taken to the hospital and arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, Lee said.
