ALAMEDA -- George Atkinson III, who had a breakout performance in the Raiders' final preseason game, was one of 10 players named to the Raiders practice squad Monday

Atkinson III, son of former Raiders safety George Atkinson, had a game-high 63 yards on eight carries and returned a kickoff 45 yards.

Other players named to the practice squad were defensive end Denico Autry, cornerback Ras-I Dowling, linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu, linebacker Spencer Hadley, tackle Dan Kistler, defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin, guard Lamar Mady, wide receiver Seth Roberts and tight end Scott Simonson.

All were released by the Raiders Sunday in the cutdown from 75 to 53 players except Dowling, a former second-round draft pick of the New England Patriots in 2011 out of Virginia.

Dowling spent the 2014 offseason with the Jets. He had nine games with two starts for the Patriots but spent most of 2011 and 2012 on the injured reserve list.

The Raiders practice Monday afternoon at 3:45 p.m.
