SANTA CLARA -- Redwood City resident Michael Prosper walked through the gates of California's Great America for the first time Monday and became the amusement park's 75 millionth guest.

Prosper, his wife Julie, and two daughters, Sophie and Maddie, were each given a 25-year gold season pass and awarded a free day at the park with food and "fast-lane" privileges, according to spokesperson Tieara Caron.

It was Prosper and his children's first visit to the 100-acre park, which opened 38 years ago.

Commemorative gifts, including pins, backpacks and rally towels, were also handed to the first 7,500 park visitors on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
