BRENTWOOD -- Hannah Nicole Vineyards and Winery presents a JazzFest Weekend Saturday and Sunday with world-class jazz musicians The Christian Tamburr Quintet, The Simon Rowe Quartet and seasoned jazz recording artist, songwriter and educator Nicolas Bearde.

Performances will be from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday featuring diverse genres of jazz across 13 ensembles on three stages at the Winery, 6400 Balfour Road in Brentwood.

Before the weekend event, there will be a master's class at Brentwood Liberty High School on Friday. The class, which will be taught by Christian Tamburr and his quintet, will seek to hone the skills of some of America's future jazz greats.

Tamburr and his quartet have performed at such venues as The Lincoln Center in New York City, The Blue Note, Small's Jazz Club, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola and Yoshi's Jazz Club among many others. Simon Rowe, meanwhile, is the director of the Brubeck Institute at the University of the Pacific. He also has taught jazz piano and jazz studies.

This weekend's festival kicks off with solo jazz pianist Dave Foster at noon, followed by Marc Levine and TLC at 1 p.m. The Tom Patitucci Duo, The Simon Rowe Quartet, Tre Taylor and The Dangerous Martini Quintet, The Steve Heckman Quartet and The GBQ Jazz Jam will play throughout the day. The Tamburr Quintet headlines the event at 8 p.m. that same night.

Pan Handlers at 1 p.m., followed by The Nicolas Bearde Quartet at 2 p.m. and The Big Burg Band, a 16-piece stage band, at 3 p.m.
