Oakley Scout earns Eagle rank

Justin Lott, son of Gloria and Bill Lott of Oakley, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which will be presented at a Court of Honor ceremony Aug. 7.

Justin, 17, is a 2012 graduate of Freedom High School in Oakley, and a member of Boy Scout Troop 298 under the leadership of Scout Master Chris Chapman.

For his Eagle project, Justin built a sandbox and compost bin for Oakley Elementary School.

Justin will further his academic studies as a freshman at Sacramento State University in the fall.
