Army Reserve Pvt. John E. Krieg has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.
During nine weeks of training, Krieg received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, tactics, military physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics.
Krieg is the son of Jeanne Krieg of Oakley and a 2007 graduate of Antioch High School.
Army Pvt. Spencer H. Wery has graduated from One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo., which included basic military training and advanced individual training (AIT).
During basic military training, Wery received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons qualification, map reading, tactics, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army doctrine, history, principles and traditions.
During AIT, Wery completed the military police specialist course to acquire skills to provide combat area support, conduct battlefield circulation control, area security, prisoner of war operations, civilian internee operations, and law and order operations.
Wery is the son of Gary Wery of Brentwood.
Army Pfc. Alexander E. Makinano has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During nine weeks of training, the Makinano studied the Army mission, history, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, military justice system, basic first aid, and field training exercises.
Makinano is the son of Michael Makinano of Brentwood and Lisa Guerrero of Waipahu, Hawaii.
Makinano is a 2010 graduate of Kapolei High School, Hawaii.
