OAKLEY -- A 17-year-old boy is facing an attempted homicide charge for a shooting in the Oakley Plaza parking lot last week, police said Thursday.

The teenager, who lives in Pittsburg, is alleged to have fired shots after a verbal fight in the downtown parking lot on the afternoon of Aug. 28, police said.

No one was struck.

Surveillance cameras helped identify the 17-year-old, who was subsequently arrested and booked for attempted homicide. His name was not released because he is a minor.
