Former Cal volleyball player and model Morgan Beck is engaged to marry Olympic champion Bode Miller, the skier said on Twitter.
"I have found the one!!! And convinced her to marry me," Miller, 34, said in a tweet.
Beck, a 2009 Berkeley graduate who was a two-time All-Pac-10 honorable mention player, retweeted the post.
Miller said in another Tweet, "It was a process MorganEBeck is hard to convince. I'm super excited."
Beck, 25, is a professional beach volleyball player who some have likened to model-cum-volleyball player Gabrielle Reece. The 6-foot-3 athlete from Orange County was formerly married to Penn State volleyball player Matt Proper, according to her blog.
Beck wrote this month that she was moving to San Diego to live with Miller on his yacht. Miller is one of America's best known alpine skiers, having won the World Cup in 2005 and 2008. He has won five Olympic medals, including his only gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Beck, who was slowed by a leg injury in her senior year at Cal in 2008, advanced to the Association of Volleyball Professionals championship this month in Santa Barbara. She and partner Priscilla Lima lost all three pool play matches, including one to stars Kerri Walsh of Saratoga and Nicole Branagh of Orinda.
