SAN JOSE -- The Rock 'n' Roll San Jose Half Marathon is expected to draw more than 14,000 runners to downtown Sunday morning. Race information:

  • Start: 8 a.m. at West Santa Clara Street and North Almaden Avenue.

  • Finish: Park Avenue just before Plaza de Cesar Chavez.

  • Notes: More than 20 local bands will play at 15 entertainment stages along the 13.1-mile course. Folk-rock singer Matt Nathanson is scheduled to headline a free concert near the finish. ... A health and fitness expo will be held Friday and Saturday at San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

  • Elite runners: Men: Scott Bauhs of Mammoth Lakes, Simon Bairu of Canada and Aleksey Sokolov of Russia. Women: Eri Okubo of Japan and Natalie Sokolova of Russia.
