  • Scouting For Food drive -- 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 17. Boy Scouts hit doorsteps across the nation to collect nonperishable food for local food banks. Those who received a Scouting For Food door hanger are on the Scout's collection route for this drive.   • Help Feed Our Furry Friends, pet food drive -- Nov. 16. Share the Joy Pet Photography of Lafayette is teaming up with the Contra Costa Humane Society to collect pet food. For $50 and a 30 pound bag of dog or cat food, participants receive a beautiful 5x7 print and digital file. All food is donated to the Contra Costa County Humane Society's AniMeals Program.
