Togo is the MUSH Pet of the Week for Feb. 14.

MUSH

Togo is 5 years old and weighs approximately 90 pounds. He is a great dog -- housebroken, walks well on leash, knows "sit" and "shake," and loves all humans. He's kind of picky about his dog friends: Some he likes, while he will assert some dominance with others. Togo would be a good fit with an active and attentive family. Email spiritofashadow@aol.com, call MUSH (Malamutes Unwanted Seeking Homes) at 800-399-8155 or visit www.ncama.org and click on "rescue."

PUG RESCUE

Myrtle is 5-7 years old, sweet and loving. She lost her adoptive home in a divorce when her owner moved to a no-dog apartment. Last October, she badly injured her spine, back and legs, and learned to walk again, but still has a problem with her right leg. A full recovery is expected. Myrtle likes "fetch," knows how to use a doggy door, likes children, but should avoid those who "play rough" due to her back, and can be jealous of other dogs. The Pug Rescue adoption fair is the third Sunday at Pet Food Express at Oak Grove Road and Treat Boulevard in Concord.
