Sasha is the MUSH Pet of the Week for March 14.

MUSH

Sasha is a loving and affectionate 2-year-old, large female. She has been around small dogs, and though she just wants to play, she tries to treat them like a squeaky toy. She was reported to get along with cats, but will chase them without supervision. Sasha likes to hike and lie around watching TV with her owner. Email spiritofashadow@aol.com, call MUSH (Malamutes Unwanted Seeking Homes) at 800-399-8155 or visit www.ncama.org and click on "rescue."

PUG RESCUE

Ali is a healthy, active 3-year-old who likes walks and hikes. He gets along with female and neutered, male dogs, but not so much with other male dogs. He is blind in his right eye, so it would be best to avoid cats, very small children or anything that could injure his other eye. He is sweet, but can get possessive with food and his "humans." He's a quick study at obedience training and should continue. Pug Rescue is at Pet Food Express, Oak Grove Road and Treat Boulevard, Concord, on the third Sunday of the month, March 17.
