  • Public intoxication: A 34-year-old man was arrested at 10:41 p.m. in the 70 block of Moraga Way for public intoxication. Police also found that the man was in possession of marijuana and did not have a medical card.

    Monday, April 29

  • Public Intoxication: Police arrested a 29-year-old man on the Bates Boulevard pedestrian trail for public intoxication.

    Wednesday, may 1

  • Warrants: A 32-year-old man was arrested at 8:37 a.m. at Orinda Way and Irwin Way on warrants from Fremont and Richmond.

    Thursday, may 2

  • DUI: Police arrested at 45-year-old woman at Moraga Way and Oak Drive for driving under the influence after her vehicle collided with the rear of another vehicle.

    The following excerpts were taken from the Moraga police log:

    Wednesday, May 1

    Outside assist: Officers were dispatched to Moraga Road for a report of a large fallen tree branch blocking the roadway. Officers found a tree service and Moraga Public Works staff with a cleanup in progress.

    Welfare check: Officers responded to the 350 block of Rheem Boulevard for a report of a female acting strangely. Officers determined the woman did not appear to be a danger to herself or others.

    Traffic incident: Officers responded to Canyon Road for the report of a two-vehicle accident. It was determined a 16-year-old driver had failed to yield to another vehicle causing it to strike a tree. No injuries. Damage estimate was $6,000.

    Friday, May 3

    DUI: Officers detected the odor of alcohol during a traffic stop on Augusta Drive. The female driver was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

    Welfare check: Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Moraga Way for the report of an adult male who told cashiers he had swallowed to bottles of cold medication. The subject was later transported to a hospital for evaluation.

    Domestic dispute: Officer responded to the report of a domestic dispute in the 1400 block of Camino Pablo. Upon arrival officers interviewed both parties and determined no crime occurred. One party left the residence for the night.
