Hattie is Maine Coon Adoptions' Pet of the Week for July 18.

Starla is a 1-to 2-year-old longhair calico with a glorious tail, beautiful eyes and a wonderful personality. She likes to be brushed and loves to be loved. She is OK with other cats, but really prefers not to share the attention. She is spayed, tested, current on shots. For information, contact Kay at 925-250-5253 or call the Community Concern for Cats hotline at 925 938 CATS (925-938-2287).

Cassie is a sweet, mellow 11½-year-old old spayed golden retriever who is even-tempered and fine with everything -- dogs, cats and kids. She likes the attention and is unfazed by rambunctious energy. She is housebroken, knows several commands and is very well-behaved. Cassie would do great in just about any home, especially one with respectful kids and few stairs. For information, contact foster dad Ken at or visit

Hattie is an affectionate and gentle 5-year-old who loves being near her people. She would be fine as an only cat, but is OK with others. She is spayed, microchipped, tested negative and up-to-date on shots. Maine Coon Adoptions holds monthly adoption fairs in Pleasant Hill.
