  • hit and run: A vehicle was hit while parked in a covered stall in the 300 block of Rheem Boulevard. The damage was estimated to be approximately $1,000.

  • extortion: An employee at Saint Mary's College received a call from a man saying he had abducted her brother and sister-in-law and was holding them hostage. He said he would harm them both if she did not immediately send $2,000 via Western Union. The brother and sister-in-law were found safe at home and at work.

  • auto burglary: A vehicle parked on Moraga Road just north of Commons Park Skate Park had its front passenger-side window smashed out. Missing from the vehicle was a laptop, an iPad and an iPad keyboard. Total value of the stolen items was estimated at $1,300.
