Tom Brady, quarterback, Patriots: New England's leading man might have suffered a broken nose when he was sacked in the second quarter of the win at Tennessee, but he didn't miss any plays. Trainers taped up his nose, and he finished off the game by throwing for 236 yards and two touchdowns. "I need some scars," Brady joked after the game.
John Skelton, quarterback, Cardinals: He was sidelined with a right ankle injury in the fourth quarter of a 20-16 win over Seattle. Skelton was down for several minutes before being loaded onto a cart and taken to the locker room.
Rodger Saffold, offensive tackle, Rams: The third-year pro was carted off the field with a neck injury. Saffold had movement in his arms and legs after hurting his neck. Coach Jeff Fisher said after the game Saffold would undergo a CT scan.
Jake Locker, quarterback, Titans: Making his first career start, Locker went out in the fourth quarter against New England with a left shoulder problem after making a tackle at the end of a 49-yard fumble return. Locker tried to talk his way back into the game but was rebuffed by the medical staff.
