The Earthquakes plan to start selling individual tickets for their first home MLS Cup playoff game at 10 a.m. Wednesday, but also announced they have fewer than 2,500 seats available.

The Quakes (17-6-6) are expected to open the playoffs in the Western Conference semifinals starting the first week of November but dates won't be determined until the standings are final. The playoffs begin Oct. 31/Nov. 1 with wild-card play-in matches.

San Jose officials also are offering playoff seats to those who put a $50 deposit on 2013 season tickets before the public sale next week. For information: www.sjearthquakes.com or 1-800-225-2277.
