Syracuse (7-0) upped its home winning streak to 27 games, tops in the nation, and has won 49 consecutive regular-season nonconference games. Long Beach State (3-5) had a two-game winning streak snapped.

Dan Jennings had a career-high 20 points and Peter Pappageorge (Burlingame High) added 11 for Long Beach State.

Cincinnati 87, Arkansas-Little Rock 53: Sean Kilpatrick scored 10 of his 18 points in the second half, and No. 11 Cincinnati set a school record with 23 steals in a win over visiting Arkansas-Little Rock (7-4). The Bearcats (8-0) started with eight straight wins for the 15th time in school history and the second in three seasons.

Creighton 64, Nebraska 42: Doug McDermott scored 27 points and Gregory Echenique had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 16 Creighton over Nebraska (6-2). The Bluejays (8-1) won in Lincoln for the first time since 2004.

  • Creighton guard Josh Jones was to be held overnight and undergo further testing Friday at a Lincoln hospital after passing out before the game. Coach Greg McDermott wrote in a text message to The Associated Press on Thursday night that Jones "is tired but doing well."

    San Diego State 84, UC Santa Barbara 70: Chase Tapley scored 23 points, going 6 of 8 from behind the 3-point line, to lead five players in double figures and No. 17 San Diego State beat visiting UC Santa Barbara, the Aztecs' seventh straight win.

    Santa Clara: Senior guard Kevin Foster was named West Coast Conference player of the month for November. Foster averaged 21.7 points per game in leading the Broncos to a 5-1 month, their best start since 1968.

    Utah State: Hospital officials say Utah State player Danny Berger, who collapsed at practice Tuesday, has been moved out of the intensive care unit and upgraded to fair condition.

    WOMEN

    Saint Mary's 75, UC Davis 56: Jackie Nared and Danielle Mauldin recorded double-doubles to lead Saint Mary's (6-2) over host UC Davis (2-4). Nared had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Mauldin (St. Mary's High) totaled 17 points and 15 rebounds. Mia Greco added 14 points and Lauren Nicholson 13 for the Gaels, who have won five in a row.

    Connecticut 67, Penn State 52: Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored a season-high 25 points, and No. 2 Connecticut (8-0) pulled away in the second half to beat No. 10 Penn State (6-2) in Storrs, Conn.
