Saint Mary's built a 20-point halftime lead and cruised to a 120-67 rout of Jackson State on Tuesday night in Moraga.

The point total tied for second on the Gaels' all-time list.

Saint Mary's won 121-52 over Chicago State on Nov. 23, 2010.

Matthew Dellavedova scored 31 points and had eight assists to lead the Gaels (7-2).

Brad Waldow added 21 points, and James Walker III scored 14. Beau Levesque contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Saint Mary's opened the game on a 20-4 run. Beau Levesque's dunk made the score 24-6 with just under 13 minutes left in the first half.

Jackson State (0-6) used a 13-0 run to close the gap midway through the first half. A layup by Kelsey Howard left the Tigers down 25-19 with 9:57 left in the half.

The Gaels responded with a 17-3 run, taking a 42-22 lead on a 3-pointer by Dellavedova. Saint Mary's led 52-32 at the half.

Dundrecous Nelson led Jackson State with 27 points.

Michigan 67, Binghamton 39: Trey Burke scored 19 points and freshman Nik Stauskas added 12 to lead the No. 3 Wolverines (10-0) over the visiting Bearcats (2-9).

Michigan is off to its best start since the national title season of 1988-89.

Illinois 65, Norfolk State 54: Brandon Paul scored 14 points and D.J. Richardson overcame a shoulder injury to add 11 and help the No. 10 Illini (11-0) hold off the visiting Spartans (6-6).

Richardson left late in the first half with a badly bruised shoulder but returned. His layup with just under two minutes remaining put the Illini up 56-51, and they held on for the win.

Minnesota 70, North Dakota State 57: Rodney Williams scored 19 points and Trevor Mbakwe grabbed 18 rebounds to help the No. 13 Gophers (11-1) defeat the visiting Bison (8-3).

Oklahoma State's biggest (richest) fan: Billionaire oilman and Oklahoma State alumnus T. Boone Pickens wanted to guarantee a sellout when the No. 23 Cowboys host No. 14 Gonzaga on Dec. 31. So Pickens purchased the remaining 4,000 tickets and will offer them to fans for free beginning Wednesday.

Women

Maryland 88, Towson 43: Alyssa Thomas had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Katie Rutan added 16 points to lead the No. 10 Terrapins (7-2) past the host Tigers (4-4).

Texas 77, Louisiana-Monroe 49: Brady Sanders scored 15 points and the No. 18 Longhorns (6-1) routed the visiting Warhawks (2-7).
