  • Saint Mary's Ryan Brockett pitched the first no-hitter at the new Louis Guisto Field in Moraga as the Gaels baseball team won 15-0 over Chicago State. Saint Mary's left fielder Markus Melgosa made the defensive play of the day, diving to catch a ball blooped down the left-field line in the second inning.

  • San Jose State's D.J. Slaton did not allow a hit through six innings, but the No. 10 Arizona baseball team scored five runs in the seventh on the way to a 9-4 win and a three-game sweep of the visiting Spartans.

  • The Cal baseball team allowed seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and lost 9-1 to No. 25 UC Irvine. The Bears lost three of four games in the series. Their run Sunday scored in the seventh on catcher Alex Egber's RBI single.

  • Stanford's Teagan Gerhart earned her first save of the season in the No. 17 Cardinal softball team's 3-1 win over No. 23 Florida State, then struck out 11 in a 2-1 victory against Syracuse on the final day of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City.

  • Jolene Henderson threw her fifth consecutive shutout as No. 8 Cal won 1-0 over Nebraska at a Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic game in Palm Springs.

  • Amanda Pridmore struck out 13 and San Jose State's softball team defeated visiting St. John's 3-1 in the first game of a doubleheader. St. John's won the second game 7-3.
