San Jose State's inaugural season in the Mountain West Conference will feature two Friday night home games, including the season finale against rival Fresno State on Nov. 29. The Spartans also close the season with four straight games against teams that reached bowl games last season.

The conference schedule opens against Utah State on Friday, Sept. 27. Kickoff times and the broadcast schedule will be announced later by the conference.

The key portion of San Jose State's schedule comes in November. The Spartans host defending Mountain West tri-champion San Diego State on Nov. 9, travel to Nevada on Nov. 16 and host Navy on Nov. 23 before the finale with Fresno State, also a defending conference tri-champ.

All four of those opponents participated in bowl games last season.

The season kicks off on a Thursday night when the Spartans host Sacramento State on Aug. 29. They play at Stanford on Sept. 7 and, following a bye, travel to Minnesota on Sept. 21.

The rest of the schedule (all conference games): Oct. 5 at Hawaii, Oct 12 at Colorado State, Oct. 26 vs. Wyoming and Nov. 2 at UNLV.
