The Piedmont Unified School District and Associated Parent Clubs of Piedmont are offering Flu Shot Fridays from 4-7 p.m. Fridays during November.

The dates are Nov. 6, Wildwood School, 301 Wildwood Ave — last day to register is Oct. 31; Nov. 13, Beach School, 100 Lake Ave. — last day to register is Nov. 6; Nov. 20, Piedmont High School's Alan Harvey Theater, 800 Magnolia Ave. — last day to register is Nov. 13.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend everyone over 6 months be vaccinated for the seasonal flu in preparation for the winter season. The clinics will not be vaccinating for the H1N1 virus at this time; however, schools will schedule clinics for it when the vaccine is available.

The clinics offer flu shots for ages 4 and up for $25. FluMist, a nasal spray, will be available for ages 2 to 49 for $30.

Subsequent clinics will be held Nov. 13 at Beach School, 100 Lake Ave., and Nov. 20 at Piedmont High School's Alan Harvey Theater, 800 Magnolia Ave. Dates and locations are subject to change.

Clinics will be canceled a week prior to the scheduled date unless we receive minimum of 70 pre-registrations.
