  • 1:39 p.m. -- Sea View Avenue. Identity theft was reported.

  • 4:13 p.m. -- Boulevard Way. Caller said a man rang her doorbell, then went into backyard. Turned out to be contractor at wrong address.

    Tuesday, Aug. 7

  • 10:03 a.m. -- Harvard Road and Lakeshore Avenue. Man with warrant out of Alameda County was cited and released.

  • 11:55 a.m. -- Palm Drive. Resident reported scooter stolen from driveway. Police detained subjects, who fled. Scooter was returned.

    Wednesday, Aug 8

  • 9:20 a.m. -- Greenbank Avenue. Resident reported a $300 chair stolen from front porch.

  • 10:44 a.m. -- Sunnyside Avenue. Caller reported items taken from unlocked vehicle.

    Thursday, Aug 9

  • 9:44 a.m. -- Pacific Avenue. A man reported that two of his locked vehicles were rifled through during the previous evening, resulting in the loss of $40 and a pocket knife.

  • 10:15 a.m. -- Trestle Glen Road. Caller reported unknown charges on his credit card.

  • 12:58 a.m. -- Olive Avenue.

  • 4:08 p.m. -- Coaches Playfield. A noninjury traffic accident was reported.

  • 4:35 a.m. -- Oakland Avenue. Resident reported someone keyed his car Sunday night.

    Friday, Aug 10

  • 1:35 a.m. -- Broadway Avenue. Piedmont police helped Oakland police with an investigation.

  • 9:02 a.m. -- Harvard Road. Resident requested extra patrol as house was TP'd the previous evening.

  • 10:18 a.m. -- Fairfax Avenue and Macarthur Boulevard. Piedmont police assisted Oakland police in catching a dog at large.

  • 12:08 p.m. -- Moraga Avenue. Resident reported motorcycle stolen the previous evening between 11 p.m. and 10 a.m.

  • 3:17 p.m. -- Grand Avenue. Woman had her laptop and cell phone stolen from a couch in a store.

  • 10:17 p.m. -- Bonita Avenue. Resident reported a man knocking on her door, asking to use the phone.

    Saturday, Aug 11

  • 10:17 a.m. -- Pacific Avenue. Resident reported strange car in driveway. Car appeared to have been in an accident and abandoned.

  • 2:11 p.m. -- Ramona Avenue. Resident had bike valued at $1,000 taken from open garage and car rifled through.

  • 8:17 a.m. -- Hampton Road. Resident reported car stolen.

  • 10:16 p.m. -- Embarcadero. Piedmont police assisted Oakland police.
