monday, aug. 20

  • 5:14 p.m. -- Ronada Avenue. A woman told police that she discovered that someone burglarized her residence when she returned home. It occurred sometime during the previous hour.

    tuesday, aug. 21

  • 4:47 p.m. -- Maxwelton Road. A caller reported that a couple who were sitting in a pickup, looking at the view, may be also casing homes in the neighborhood, police said.

    wednesday, aug. 22

  • 1:07 p.m. -- LaSalle Avenue. A carjacking was reported, police said. The suspect simulated having a weapon before fleeing with the van, the victim told police. The vehicle contained gardening equipment. The vehicle described the suspect as a 5-foot-9 inch white man, weighing 175 pounds and wearing a black, long-sleeve shirt, black jeans and white Nike tennis shoes. The man has a tattoo on the right side of his neck that features the Oakland A's insignia.

    thursday, aug. 23

  • 5:36 p.m. -- Dale Avenue. A woman told police that someone stole change after rifling through her locked vehicle. It occurred sometime Wednesday night

    friday, aug. 24

  • 7:59 a.m. -- Scenic Avenue. A woman told police that a girl's bicycle was stolen from her open garage. The theft occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday.

  • 8:09 a.m. -- Olive Avenue. A man reported that someone smashed the driver's side window of his car and stole an iPod from inside. The victim's pickup was also rifled through, police said. Two other residents of the street also reported about the same time that someone rifled through their vehicles.

  • 4:37 p.m. -- Waldo Avenue. A boy's bicycle was reported stolen from a driveway. It happened sometime between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

  • 4:49 p.m. -- Pala Avenue. A woman told police that someone stole her son's bicycle from her front porch. The theft occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday.

  • 6:22 p.m. -- A caller reported that someone rifled through their vehicle sometime Thursday night or early Friday morning and stole a cell phone. A Lake Avenue woman reported about the same time that change was stolen from her vehicle approximately a week earlier.

  • 12:26 p.m. -- Mountain Boulevard. Two bicycles were reported stolen from a rear yard.

  • 3:24 p.m. -- Sheridan Avenue. A residential burglary was reported, police said.

    sunday, aug. 26

  • 10:54 a.m. -- Grand Avenue. A caller reported that someone apparently used a BB gun to shoot out the window of a silver Honda Pilot.

  • 7:15 a.m.. -- Greenbank Avenue. A woman told police that she discovered a man rifling through her vehicle. The suspect fled on foot toward Grand Avenue. It was not immediately known if any items were stolen, police said.
