Stage Right to present 'Snow White: The Queen s Fair Daughter
ANTIOCH -- Stage Right Conservatory Theatre Inc. presents "Snow White: The Queen s Fair Daughter at 7 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Nick Rodriguez Community Center, 213 F St. in Antioch.
The play was adapted by Max Bush and produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Co. Based on the original Brothers Grimm manuscript, this classic fairy tale is directed by Bryan Anthony and is geared for all ages. Additional performances are at 7 p.m. June 29, 30 and at 2 p.m. June 30 and July 1.
The production is presented by two casts alternating performances. The Jacob Grimm Cast features actors ages 8-13, starring Jackie Valadez and Abby Torrez as Snow White, Teagan Ramirez as the Queen and Connor Achziger as the Prince. The Wilhelm Grimm Cast features actors ages 14-18, starring Rachel Kennealy and Rylee Garcia as Snow White, Megan McNesby as the Queen and Rio Teixeira as the Prince.

Saturday nights are again concert nights in Antioch
ANTIOCH -- The East Contra Costa city is again holding free concerts from 6 to 8 p.m. in July and August at downtown s Waldie Plaza.
A special kickoff concert will be held, a week earlier, from 6 to 8 p.m. June 30 featuring local group Vocal Ease & the Boogie Men, outside the Antioch Historical Society museum, 1500 W. Fourth St. A Celebrationo of Art exhibit also will be held in conjunction.
The lineup for the 7 p.m. concerts in July and August includes: easy-listening group Spindrift California on July 7; Latin, jazz and old-school group The PhD s on July 14; blues and R&B group Sumac on July 21; classic soul group Juke Joint on July 28; country rocker Jessica Caylyn on Aug. 4; R&B and pop group Soul Request on Aug. 11; county rock group Bell Brothers on Aug. 18; and 1950s and 1960s rock group Tuck & Roll on Aug. 25.
Seating is not provided, so visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and folding chairs.

Brentwood troupe presents 'Oklahoma
BRENTWOOD -- The Brentwood Theater Company presents "Oklahoma weekends through July 1 at the Heritage High School theater, 101 American Way, Brentwood.
The Broadway Under The Stars production of the American musical theater classic is directed by Steve Kinsella of the Kinsella Theater Group and produced by Jack Gaughan, Brentwood Theater Company.
The musical is Rodgers & Hammerstein s first collaboration. Set in a Western Indian Territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story.
Additional performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays through July 1.
All seats are reserved. General admission is $24, seniors 65 and older $22, youths 13-18, $15 and children 6-12, $7.

Celebration of Art to open in Antioch
ANTIOCH -- Celebration of Art, again being co-hosted by the The Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch and the Antioch Historical Society, is set to open June 30.
The eighth annual exhibit will be held at the Antioch Historical Society Museum at 1500 W. Fourth St. This is a nonjuried exhibit with no required theme, and is expected to attract some 50 local artists. The celebration begins with an artists reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 30, and continues 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays through July 25. Admission is free.

Starry Nights Concert Series continues Friday
BRENTWOOD -- The city of Brentwood s concert series continues on Friday with AJA VU, a San Francisco-based band performing the music of Steely Dan.
The band plays such hits as "Hey Nineteen and "Reelin In the Years to "Deacon Blues and "Rikki Don t Lose That Number.
The music will be at the renovated City Park at 710 Second St. beginning at 7 p.m. Ample parking is available in the parking garage at 150 City Park Way. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic basket and enjoy the first of eight summer concerts in the park.
On tap is June 28 is Rodeo House, one of country music s most sought-after acts.

'Alice s Adventures in Wonderland auditions scheduled
ANTIOCH -- Antioch Children s Theatre will hold auditions for "Alice s Adventures in Wonderland 7 to 9 p.m. July 9 and 10 at the Virginia J. Calisesi Studio Theatre, 512 W. Second St., Antioch.

Summerset Singers hosts performances
BRENTWOOD -- The Summerset Singers will perform concerts locally Saturday and Sunday
"A Place in the Choir will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday at Summerset III and Sunday at the new Brentwood Civic Center Community Auditorium.
Admission is $15 or $10 for those 12 and under. The choral program also includes three numbers with the grandchildren of the chorus members.
