THE ATTRIBUTES I look most for in a candidate is integrity, virtue, does he/she practice their faith, do they place value on all Americans, or are they divisive and jump to conclusions.
Do they hold themselves accountable to the same laws they expect us to adhere to, do they encourage individual achievement and being self-sustaining. Do they encourage, but not force charity and set the example. I am turned off by liars -- those who say what they think I want to hear, but do the opposite, and those who think they can solve all problems by throwing somebody else's money after it.

I WOULD LIKE a candidate who completes his term. Wade Harper did not complete his term on the school board -- now doesn't want to complete his term on the city council to run for mayor. Then in two years, he will not complete that term by running for supervisor. Then he won't complete that turn to run for the Assembly. I like a person who follows through and is honest.

CONVICTION IS A prerequisite on my candidate dance card. Don't get in the kitchen if you can't stand the heat. It's grueling work so give up a private life and be committed to fighting for your convictions.
I also seek the courageous, one of the rarest of qualities. I admire those not bullied or bought.
What repels me is arrogance. Leaders too often forget that they are public servants and succumb to arrogance and abuse of trust and accountability. This group of scoundrels include the high and mighty, the corrupt, and those who can't admit they made an honest mistake, but blame it on a lapse in judgment.

THE ATTRIBUTES I look for in a candidate include: No beady little eyes, frankness, humility, integrity, God fearing, sensitivity to the desperately hopeless, honesty, financial understandings, hands on management, not a blamer or buck passer, and one who has good old common sense. A brain, and having no forked tongue also would help! The current majority of incumbents in office seriously lack many of these things and should not be re-elected. It rubs me the wrong way when an obviously lying candidate's lips move as if it were sweet nectar swimming easily to classical music. Don't re-elect the incumbents!

HE OR SHE not doing drugs. Like Obama admitting to "doing a little coke." I never did any. Not releasing their medical records. You can look at mine anytime. Broken bones, stitches, hair transplants, etc. Not releasing their high school transcripts. I was a proud "C" student. Not showing your birth certificate, not your "record of live birth." I was born in Brookline, Mass. Hanging around with former 1960s radicals/terrorists. I never liked "hippies." Not doing what you promised in your original campaign. Follow through with your word and don't be a liar.
