The Salvation Army of Antioch is seeking volunteers for the ongoing bell-ringing season.

"The Salvation Army has always had a need for volunteers," said Major Neil Saunders, Antioch Salvation Army Corps Officer. "If we don't have enough volunteers, we will need to hire the bell ringers, which will take from our proceeds to provide for our families that are in need during the holiday season."

Bell ringing season started Saturday and ringers be located at many local retail sites. All proceeds from the kettles will go to support local programs and services.

The Antioch Salvation Army has already some tremendous help from The American Legion volunteers and Dozier Libbey Medical High School. Combined, both groups have signed up nearly 40 individuals to volunteer as bell ringers.

To volunteer, call Maria Rubio at 925-778-0800.
