The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police Dec. 5-9, according to information provided by the Police Department.

Dec. 5

  • Recovery: At 3:20 a.m. officers discovered a stolen vehicle on Lone Tree Way. The vehicle was released back to the owner.

  • Drugs: At 9:34 a.m. someone was arrested for suspected marijuana possession at a school on American Avenue.

  • Theft: At 5 p.m. it was reported a satellite radio and phone charger was stolen from a vehicle on Boltzen court.

    Dec. 6

  • Drugs: At 12:02 p.m. someone was arrested for suspected marijuana possession at a school on Ghiggeri Drive.

  • Warrant: At 2:34 p.m. someone was arrested on Orchard Drive for an outstanding warrant.

  • Child abuse: At 3:59 p.m. officers responded to a report of child abuse on Sycamore Avenue where an adult hit a child with a leather belt after a verbal altercation. The abuse was substantiated.

    Dec. 7

  • Theft: At 11:01 a.m. two individuals stole merchandise from a business on Sand Creek Road. Loss was estimated at approximately $75.

  • Accident: At 2:04 p.m. officers responded to misdemeanor hit-and-run accident on Oak Street.

  • Theft: At 6:56 p.m. someone stole five iPhones from a business on Sand Creek Road.

  • DUI: At 2:14 p.m. officers responded to a vehicle stopped in the center median on Brentwood Boulevard. The driver was arrested when determined to be driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or more.

  • Missing adult: At 6:43 p.m. officers responded to White Birch Court for the report of a missing 80-year-old female.

  • Warrant: At 11:46 p.m. some contacted for illegal parking on Grant Street was arrested when found to have an outstanding citable warrant.

    Dec. 9

  • Stolen vehicle: At 10:57 a.m. a vehicle was reported stolen from Fruitwood Commons.

  • Malicious vandalism: At 8:35 p.m. officers responded to East Country Club Drive for the report of someone putting soap in a fountain. Estimated cleanup cost was $300.

  • Burglary: At 4:17 p.m. it was reported a residence on Tayberry Lane was burglarized resulting in the loss of jewelry valued at approximately $32,000.
