The new president of the California-Hawaii Elks Association is Dick McDonald, a longtime Pittsburg resident.

McDonald was installed at a recent convention in Anaheim. He was past state vice president. His wife, Claudette, also a longtime Pittsburg resident, is the new first lady.

Also installed from the Pittsburg lodge were Fred Hewins, treasurer, and Wayne Tilley, vice president of the Central District. All were past exalted rulers and held other offices with the local lodge.

There are 18 lodges in the California-Hawaii Elks Association, which continues to raise money each year for handicapped children.
