Rodeo House performs Saturday at plaza
ANTIOCH -- Rodeo House performs free country rock music from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waldie Plaza off Second Street in downtown Antioch.
The concert series is hosted by the Arts and Cultural Foundation of Antioch, The Lesher Foundation, East County Times and city of Antioch.
Seating is not provided, so bring blankets or lawn chairs. Alcohol is not permitted.

'Fiddler on the Roof continues this weekend
BRENTWOOD -- Broadway Under The Stars presents the musical "Fiddler On The Roof at the Allan E. Jones Performing Arts Center, 805 Second St.
The play is directed by Steve Kinsella, of the Kinsella Theater Group, and produced by Jack Gaughan, Brentwood Theater Co.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Additional performances are 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2 and Aug. 3 and 2 p.m. Aug. 4.
Tickets: adults (18-64) $24, seniors (65 and older) $22, teens (13 through 17) $16, children (6 through 12) $8.

Vagabond Players to host 'Wagon Wheel auditions
Vagabond Players will hold auditions a 2 p.m. Aug. 4 for "Wagon Wheels A Rollin.
A spoof on the Wild West, the play will tour the month of October. Some roles are open and remain to be cast. Actors must be able to travel to senior facilities. Check the Vagabond website at http://vagabondplayersinc.com for details on cast of characters, dates and times for performance dates.

'Charlotte s Web auditions set for Aug. 5
ANTIOCH -- El Campanil Children s Theatre troupe hosts "Charlotte s Web auditions at 4 p.m. Aug. 5.
Named the "best American children s book of the past 200 years by the Children s Literature Association, this play by E.B. White and adapted by Joseph Robinette, has roles for ages 8-18.
Characters are Wilbur, the irresistible young pig; Fern, the young girl who rescues Wilbur, Templeton the rat; the Zuckerman & Arable families, and Charlotte, the extraordinary spider.
Performances will be in September.

Swedish film to be shown at El Campanil
ANTIOCH -- El Campanil Theatre and the International Film Showcase will present the Swedish film "As It Is In Heaven at 7:30 p.m. July 26 and 2 p.m. July 28 at 602 W. Second St.
An internationally renowned Swedish conductor returns to his childhood village and agrees to help the local church choir hone their singing skills. The harder Daniel works draws out the singers hidden inner talents, the more he realizes just what he s been missing by living in the big city.
The Swedish film has English subtitles.

'Starry Nights concert series continues Friday
BRENTWOOD -- The city of Brentwood continues its free "Starry Nights Summer Concert Series at 7 p.m. Friday at City Park, 710 Second St.
The night features Laurent Fourgo and His Combo performing jazz, pop and early rock n roll. Ample parking is available in the parking garage at 150 City Park Way (between City Hall and the Community Center). Don t forget to bring your lawn chairs, blanket and picnic basket.

The Sun Kings at Hannah Nicole
BRENTWOOD -- Hannah Nicole Vineyards presents The Sun Kings, the ultimate Beatles Tribute Band, at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The Sun Kings repertoire contains more than 100 Beatles songs spanning The Beatles entire musical career from "She Loves You to "I am the Walrus to "Side 2 of Abbey Road. Brentwood Public Art Walls exhibit
BRENTWOOD -- "Public Art Walls is an exhibit presented in the Brentwood Community Center, highlighting artists and art organizations throughout Brentwood.
The exhibitions are on display for approximately three months for a total of four exhibits per year. The third show continues through Sept. 20 and is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 35 Oak St.
