Making the link to high school

At Ygnacio Valley High School the week before classes began, the incoming class of freshmen were participating in orientation activities with members of the Link Crew to help with their transition to high school and a new campus. Freshmen were divided into groups of 10, with each assigned two senior and junior mentors, called Link Leaders. Here, they return to the gym after a campus tour. One link crew gets to know each other through a series of activities led by Lucero Quezada and Lester Isariuz. Classes started at Mt. Diablo Unified School District schools Wednesday, Aug. 29.
