PLEASANT HILL -- BART passengers will find it a little tricker to board trains here during the next four weekends -- starting this Saturday and Sunday.
To accommodate waterproofing work, BART will direct passengers to board trains from only one side of the tracks regardless of whether they are catching eastbound or westbound trains. Normally, passengers traveling in opposite directions board on different platforms on opposite sides of the tracks.
BART is making the temporary changes to accommodate maintenance work.
Transit system crews are waterproofing the station tracks and platforms to prevent rain leaks that puddle on surfaces near the fare gates where passengers enter and exit the station.
