  • At the Martinez Library, Story Time programs are free.

    Mother Goose Time: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays through Feb. 26. Best for ages 6 months to 3 years old, it features, bounces, tickles and rhymes, followed by a simple craft time for motor skills and creative expression.

    Leung's White Crane Lion Dancers: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 12. All ages are invited to celebrate Chinese New Year with the White Crane Lion Dancers and their costumes and acrobatics. Participants can bring a little "lettuce" to feed the lion.

    100th Birthday Celebration: A Walk Down Memory Lane: 2-4 p.m. Feb. 9. Adults are invited for history and entertainment celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Contra Costa Library. Andrea Blachman, director of Martinez Museum, will give a presentation of Martinez Library, followed by refreshments and music by Joyful Noise.
