Land's end Record

Lewis Disbrow of Martinez took a moment at the southernmost point of the continental United States to catch up with the community news in the Pleasant Hill/Martinez Record and to celebrate the Fourth of July during his three-week trip across the United States to Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida. Each summer he rides his motorcycle long-distance (to the northernmost point at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, in 2008, and easternmost point at St. John's, Newfoundland in 2011.) On his return trip last summer, he traveled through the Florida Everglades, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.

It doesn't matter if your time away is spent across San Francisco Bay or across the country -- remember to pack the Record to keep up with news of the community, and then show your neighbors where you have been. Email in .jpg format to record@bayareanewsgroup.com or send to Record on the Road, c/o the Pleasant Hill/Martinez Record, 2640 Shadelands Drive, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
